Dec.31, 2020 Christ is revealed to you

Christ is revealed to you through a witness

Your faith is not based on The Church. It’s not based on Institutional Religion or Organized Christianity. It’s not based on your family’s Church membership traditions. It’s not based on a denomination or the Hierarchy of Church Leaders. Your faith is not even based on doctrines or creeds. That statement alone will get you declared “heretic” by The Institutional Church.

Your faith is based on the revelation of Jesus Christ to you, through a witness. For example, you read bible verses that someone gave to you or provided for you somehow. Or you read from a bible. Or you read someone’s testimony (someone’s personal story which proclaims Christ). In these cases someone has written and you heard through reading. Or you audibly heard someone speaking in person or via some other audio source such as radio or podcast. Or Christ comes to you in a dream or vision, and speaks to you directly. Either way you heard.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of Christ. The word of Christ is the good news of the gospel that He preached. The gospel is the Kingdom of God is now here, and because of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, in believing on Him, there is eternal life in His name.

So how then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!” If you have faith it is because Christ was revealed to you. And this happened because someone was a witness to you, and you, hearing, believed and called on Him.

Now it is your turn to be the witness of Him to others. Christ says, “but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” By the way, the Greek word we translate into the English word “witness”, is the word “martyr”.
